Curriculum

The curriculum of United Charter Schools places the student firmly at the centre of all learning activities. Our students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to become competent and confident learners. Academic achievement is a key component of the United Charter Schools, and it is complemented by a broad range of enriching co-curricular and extracurricular activities. We offer both the Matriculation as well as CAIE O Level programmes. United Charter Schools’ graduates wishing to pursue CAIE A Level studies will be given priority in admission to Beaconhouse A Level Campuses, subject to fulfilling criteria prevalent at that time.

Early Childhood Education

Holistic development is at the heart of Early Childhood Education at United Charter Schools.  We believe that a broad and balanced range of learning experiences equips youngsters with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to succeed in an ever-changing world. The driving principles of our Early Childhood Education programme are:

  • Each child is a unique and competent learner from birth who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
  • Children learn and develop best in enabling environments that respond to their individual learning needs.
  • Through positive relationships, all children can learn to be strong and independent.

    Parent Teacher Meetings

At United Charter Schools, we believe that parents and guardians are key stakeholders in their children’s learning and thus organise regular Parent-Teacher Meetings. Discussions between parents and teachers are especially encouraged and help keep parents updated on their child’s progress.

    Professionally Trained Teachers

At United Charter Schools, we are strong advocates of continuous professional development for our teachers. Teacher learning is an ongoing process that aims to promote teaching skills and help teachers master new knowledge and develop greater proficiency, which, in turn, helps improve students’ learning outcomes.

    Environment Awareness Programme

The Environment Awareness Programme at United Charter Schools aims to promote long-term, whole-school action for eco-friendly societies. Student-led projects and initiatives will encourage and promote environmental sustainability with involvement from the wider community. The programme helps students make wise choices about responding to climate change and safeguarding the planet’s future. This is done by fostering an awareness of how students’ actions can help or harm our world.

    Co and Extra-Curricular Activities

At UCS, our co-curricular and extra-curricular activities focus on the holistic growth and personality development of our students. These activities strengthen classroom learning and affect all domains of life such as cognitive (intellectual), emotional, social, moral, cultural and aesthetic. Our primary goal is to incite passion and provide a fun way for students to learn. Physical education coaches students to excel in different sports and encourages healthy competition amidst them. Additionally, recreational and educational tours are also arranged by the school.
