Racing Triumph Inspires Bulldog Racing Edition

The current generation of Mini’s roof hatchback will be replaced soon, but only after another special edition model comes out. This time, the British car company is happy about a win by a private race team based in Nürburg, Germany, called Bulldog Race. In the class for production-based cars with a capacity of 1,600 to 2,000 cc and a turbocharger, these people came in second at this year’s 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

Bulldog Racing Edition Unveiled

The car is built on the John Cooper Works version of the Mini three-door hatch and is called the unstoppable Bulldog Racing Edition. It is a stock car version that can’t be stopped and has been greatly improved to run even better on the track. It looked like the two well-known race cars used by the Unstoppable Bulldog Racing team. First, the original suspension has been changed with an adjustable KW V3 suspension that has been fine-tuned at the Nürburgring. This gives the car an unstoppable driving experience with unmatched balance and control.

Turbocharged Powerhouse and Enhanced Handling

Under the hood, nothing has changed. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine still makes 231 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque. However, Remus has added a new exhaust system to the engine. The four-cylinder engine still sends power to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. However, the original wheels have been changed to 17-inch OZ HyperGT wheels with 205/45 R17 Pirelli P Zero tires.

Visual Tweaks and Racing Spirit

There are, of course, changes to how it looks to meet the speed improvements. For example, the hatchback no longer has any back seats, and there’s a strut with mesh and carpet to make it lighter. Also, a plaque with a unique number below the handbrake button matches the name stickers on the outside of the special edition model. The style changes from a stock JCW are finished with a Bulldog Racing roof decoration foil.

Customization Tailored to Your Desires

So that they can meet the needs of as many people as possible, each car is made to the customer’s specifications and is, therefore, one of a kind. Our special model shows the changes we can make to the vehicle. Alexander Schabbach, the managing director of Bulldog Racing, says, “We are also happy to be able to give this service to users with older Minis of the current generation starting in 2014.
